  5. - acpi=on       loads support for ACPI firmware
  6. - ide=nodma     force disabling of dma for malfunctioning ide devices
  7. - doscsi        loads scsi modules from initrd
  8. - dopcmcia      starts pcmcia service
  9. - doapm         loads apm module
  10. - dofirewire    modprobes firewire modules in initrd (for firewire cdroms,etc)
  11. - nodetect      causes hwsetup/kudzu and hotplug not to run
  12. - nohotplug     disables loading hotplug service
  13. - noapic        disable apic (try if having hardware problems ,nics,scsi,etc)
  14. - nox           disable the auto-starting of Xorg/DR17
  15. - noswap        disable auto-mounting of swap
  16. - screen=XxY    specify the screen resolution
  17. - xmodule=vesa  force the graphic module to be loaded by X (ati,nv,etc)
  18. - nosound       disable ALSA
  19. - nounionfs     deactivate use of unionfs. This uses more ram...
  20. - modules=/dev/hdX   Allow you to specify the path for your modules.
  21. - stick=/dev/sdX     Allow you to specify where to store configs, etc.

  23. - kbd=...    loads a specific keymap (ie us, fr_CH)
